Notes on the Closeup Competition : All closeup acts will perform their
act three times - once at three different areas. Close Up conditions for competitions are never ideal, even at World Championship level. We feel that splitting the group into three is the best workable solution for giving our competitors a fair go. Thanks for your understanding.

1. There will be four judges for each main competition and three judges for each sub-competition.
2. If the standard of competition is not high enough first place may not be awarded.
3. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
4. Only those registered for the convention may enter a competition. No headlining artists shall be eligible to enter any competition.
5. Entries are to be made on official entry forms and will be dealt with in order of receipt of registration. The convention committee reserve the right to limit the number of entries in any competition. A waiting list will be kept to fill any slots which may become available.
6. Applicants for Junior subcategories must be 20 or under as at June 5th, 2010.
7. Running order shall be determined prior to the commencement of each competition.
8. Entrants are to only use a trick or routine once within all of their selected competition categories or face disqualification.
9. No cups or trophies to be taken outside New Zealand.
10. All competitors understand and acknowledge that the convention and any performances given are attended in part by children and families. All competitors agree to refrain from the use of any "blue," ethnic, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate matter or face disqualification.
Fire :
No smoke, fire or pyrotechnical effects are to be used in any competition or show during the convention without express written permission from the SCMC.
Time Limits :
Your performance time will start as soon as you are announced by the compere or MC. Acts will be timed by an official timekeeper, entrants shall be notified when they reach the minimum time, when they have 60 seconds to go, and when they have reached maximum time. One minutes grace will be given before disqualification. Acts may be interrupted in the case of serious overrun.
Club Points Trophy :
1. Competition entrants may nominate the club (or clubs) they wish their points to be credited to. If nominating more than one club, points will be allocated equally to each. Clubs must be nominated in writing on official registration forms at the time of registration.
2. Clubs can be traditional or electronic (eg IBM Ring 2100). Entrants must be financial members of each club at the time of competition.
